Creamy Mushrooms Diablo


Prep Time: 10    Cooking Time: 10    Serves: 2
  1. 250g mushrooms, halved and stems trimmed
  2. 2 tbsp Fountain Tomato Sauce Squeezy
  3. 1/2 tsp Fountain Soy Sauce
  4. 1 tsp hot English-style mustard powder
  5. pinch ground chilli
  6. 2 tbsp butter
  7. 1/4 cup cream or sour cream
  8. fresh parsley chopped for garnish
  9. toast or fresh bread, to serve



  1. Remove dirt from mushrooms with paper towel.
  2. In a small bowl combine Fountain Tomato Sauce, Fountain Soy Sauce, mustard powder and chilli.
  3. Heat butter in a frying pan and add mushrooms. Cook gently for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce mixture and cook for 1 minute. Add cream and cook for 2 more minutes.
  5. Garnish mushrooms with parsley and serve with bread or toast.
  6. Tips: Try using wild mushrooms, such as slippery jacks and saffron milkcaps, when in season.
