A Julie Recipe-Spicy Pork Meatballs with Plum and Lime Sauce


Prep Time: 30    Cooking Time: 10    Serves: 4
  1. 500g pork mince
  2. 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  3. 1/4 tsp chilli powder
  4. 1/4 tsp salt
  5. 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  6. 1 bunch coriander, stems and roots thoroughly washed
  7. 1 egg
  8. 1 tbsp oil
  9. 1 cup Fountain Plum Sauce
  10. Zest and juice 1 lime



  1. In a large bowl, combine pork mince, garlic, chilli powder, salt, breadcrumbs, egg and finely chopped roots and stems of coriander. Using your hands, very thoroughly combine the ingredients and work the mince for a few minutes more. Form the mince mixture into golf ball-sized rounds.
  2. Heat oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat and cook the meatballs for around 8 minutes, until browned all over and cooked through.
  3. Into the pan add the Fountain Plum Sauce, lime zest and juice and simmer until hot all the way through.
  4. Serve with rice and steamed baby bok choi.
